Feds in the classroom

What really bugs me about this whole discussion is the utter acquiesence to the notion that the feds have every right to tell us how to run our schools. Where are the brave conservatives who will stand up and tell the federal government to mind its own business?

Local control is great, until you realized it is biased local control and poor schools in some states who are having major control over who runs our government. They should meet national, state, and constitutional standards. Local control is a myth for passing on the same old stupidity. It started early in this country, reread the headless horseman.

In case you hadn't noticed, the brave conservative you're looking for is the damned government, and you probably voted for them.
