Two more papers going to the great beyond: The Seattle Post-Intelligencer printed its last edition today, and the Tucson Citizen joins the dearly departed on Saturday.
The P-I (which was the paper who blew the whistle on W.R. Grace for what that company has done to the good folks of Libby -- while the Missoulian and the Spokesman-Review in Spokane were silent on the subject) is trying an online-only paper, which would make sense if everybody in the Seattle metro area had broadband access. And while the Citizen may be gone, I wouldn't be surprised if that paper's owner -- Gannett -- might start distributing the Arizona Republic down in the Old Pueblo, as the Republic likes to think of itself as a state-wide paper rather than just a Phoenix paper.
