Downing Street update

Here's an interesting, albeit one-sided, account of how small papers are playing the Downing Street memos story. It caught my eye because of the reference to the Outpost.

Now Jim, I wouldnt say that, in fact, Im surprised David posted this as the paper never ran anything other than Siegners' piece. Just as the Gazette hasnt touched Rove and the Plame affair. The 'post is still "the little paper that could" but really would rather not. Thats ok, eventually, it will come up for sale and to keep her out of the hands of Lee, I would sell my Columbus estate....

Hey, David! That sounds like an offer from Tony.

Tony, I just don't see much point in running stories about national and international issues when I have nothing new or original to report. I suppose I could do it just to fan the flames, but how useful is that?

As for the paper, it's all yours, babe. When can you take over?

Understandable David but if your girl was mine, she would make room. I could see just filling a paper with what the Gazette misses. Im not talking inches of print but summaries would be nice. I just wonder how many of our young and impressionable populace pick up only your paper? How many elderly hit your rack who cannot afford the Gazette? mmmm....jes sayin'. Tony

I am, of course, an unrepentant Outpost booster with no sense of balance on the topic.
