Perfect solution
A student paper I read the other day said that one cause of teacher retention problems is a "lack of insufficient funding." And I thought, this man can fix that problem!

I think that the Dems ought to help mr. jore out on this one. I think the Dems should propose as a money saving measure that ALL public schools should be closed for one year, and that parents must homeschool their own kids for that year! It's a great way to save money, and an even greater way to show parents the value of public education! I think one year ought to do it. mr. jore can maybe share some of his homeschool techniques! Let's face it. These rightwingers are nuts!
And writing "to little" instead of "too little" is an example of the marvelous job public schools are doing at teaching the language. If you get a letter from an elderly person who never went beyond high school, and on the same day get one from a recent college graduate, the odds are pretty good that the letter from the supposedly less educated one will be the more literate of the two.
Dave, Sad but true. At the writing lab, we get a lot of older students who are nervous about going back to school because they they think they aren't up to speed or have forgotten what they once knew. Nearly always, their writing is superior to that of most "traditional" students.
Jackie Corr is a good example. He graduated frommthe Christia Borthers High School in Butte in 1959. He writes at the graduate level. His work is easily as good as History and English Graduate students.
