One for Tussing

I don't have a Ron Tussing banner on my blog, but I still think he comes out the big winner in this exchange. Al Garver sounds both petty and naive, a deadly combination in a prospective leader. And Tussing's response was dead on: "It's not my job to give Al Garver ideas."

I'm not backing off from my prediction that Garver will win this, but I'm also not doubling up any bets.

Ron Tussing signed a Clean Campaign Pledge long before the primary. Mr. Garver has yet to sign one. You can bet the mud is going to fly and it's going to be incoming from the Garver direction. These are going to be messy games, indeed.

Actually, the really interesting thing will be to see how much outside influence is given to Big Al the Whiner's campaign! For you see, already Phyllis Shatly's organization has endorsed Big Al. Why? What the hell would THEY care for? The Repigs at a national level even take an interest in local mayoral elections. So you can be damn sure that they will be providing Big Al with the latest nutjob advice! Mark my word. Al will be gettin' help. No nutjob is too small in Repig politics! And besides, could Al REALLY win something on his own??????

If that last post wasn't written by Larry K., I'll eat my hat. His style is like none other.

I goyta agree with David and Tussing on this one. Whining because you dont know how to go out and get endorsements is the sign of an amatuer.

Who ARE some of these groups that have endorsed Garver anyway? I have never heard of several of them.

Who, me?! Nah, I wouldn't dream of writing a discouraging word bout Big Al! Heck, he does a fine job himself! Sides, Al, a "christian conservative" (whatEVER in the hell THAT means) has the Big Fella on his side! And me, I'm scared of lighting bolts!

Chock up another big endorsement for the chief.

You mean the police union endorsement? That was quite a coup.

Its no small feat to get an endorsement from Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 30 either. Meanwhile Garver gopt endorsements from 3 primary Mayoral candidates--two of whom were never serious contenders. Those endorsements should be good for 9 votes.

Pipefitters hell! Big Al got the endorsement of the National Association of Helicopter Beanie Manufacturers! That oughta be worth sumthin'!.......maybe he'll get one for free to wear to city council meetings if he wins!

Wow, you people are pretty immature and pathetic. If you think you are eligible to judge another person, why don't you run for public office and see how tough it is? You so-called experts have no clue. In terms of obtaining endorsements, beware! Where were the police and fire unions when the ex-Chief needed their support before he accepted the $160,000? Remember the controversies when both groups threatened to strike! What a bunch of hypocrits!

Pathetic and immature? You mean like a guy that whines because he doesn't get the police endorsement? Just wondering.
