That's it for Romney

Any chance that Mitt Romney had of getting my vote ended here. It isn't that he is wrong on the issue; I would expect Republicans (although not conservatives) to be wrong about medical marijuana. It's that he doesn't have the guts to look the man in the eye and tell him that he would rather throw people in jail than allow them the medical care they need. Wrong and gutless -- a fatal combination (hat tip to Andrew Sullivan).

This made me really sad to watch. To think that this 'man' has even the smallest chance of becoming our president. Coward.

This is a little off topic, but David Broeder's recent column hit the spot for me. The Repubs (or any who supports Iraq war) ought to have the guts to say that we need a tax to fund that mess--or step forward and identify the cuts needed to free up the money. None of these so-called hawks can do it.
