Strike over

Just got a fax from City Hall saying that Teamsters Local 190 employees are going back to work beginning today.

The City Council is expected to ratify the contract on Aug. 23. The union will vote within the next couple of days, the news release said.

The union will continue to pursue an unfair labor practice complaint over the termination of three probationary and 11 seasonal employees.

And it's about time. I think that it was the suit that triggered settlement. The city knows it doesn't have a leg to stand on there. However, the union could lose what with the current political atmosphere in Montana.

Chuck...Political climate...Union's across the board don't have a hell of a lot of influence in any "right to work" state, so unfortunately, we find ourselves in the fix we're in

LOW WAGES & High Taxes :-)

Just ME

I'm glad it's over.

Anony Mouse: we're not officially a right to work state unless something happened while I blinked.
