In the comments over at City Lights, someone noted that mtpolitics.net seems to have hung up his keyboard. It's not the first time that Craig has threatened to cut back or quit, but this time he sure looks serious.
Too bad. He always has been a considerate blog host and fun to joust with on various political disagreements. But when, as he says, he's not "having any damn fun anymore," maybe it is time to quit.
Of course, I've quit blogging a few times myself. I always feel guilty when I blog because I think I should be working on the newspaper (like now). And I feel guilty when I don't blog because I think I'm missing out on something that might be transforming journalism. Also, I might be letting down dozens of readers. It's the perfect guilt experience. So I know where Craig's coming from.
Less selfishly, with Dirt Between Light Bulbs' recent inactivity, Craig's closing is another blow against the chance for an all-out blog war during next year's election. If an election is held in the fall, and no one is there to blog it, does it really happen?

Problem with rightwinger bloggers is that they've got "talent on loan" from a big fat bastard! What? You don't understand? Well, it's like this. They're all real tough and everything until they get into honest debate. Then, when they start get their asses kicked, they shove their heads up their asses and their tails their between legs! They don't understand the first rule of bein' a Blimpaugh fatassed clone. If ya can't screen your calls, (or posts) keep your head up your ass where it belongs before someone hands it to you! Happens every time. One time here in GF, the Tribune tried a section calle cheers and jeers. They rightwingers got so thoroughly trounced that they whined to the publisher until they finally pulled it! Same thing happened to the Dirt Between Cornhole's Ears fellas. They were discovered, and we made'em put their heads right back up their asses! They're kinda like political turtles. (maybe THAT'S why judy wore one!) Whenever they sense trouble, they pull their heads back up their asses!

p.s. remember the time the Fat Boy himself, Blimpaugh, appeared on Letterman, and Dave handed the Fat Boy his head? FB has NEVER, EVER done an appearance like THAT one again! Fat Boy don't like workin' without a net, as if there WERE one big enough to catch his lard ass! His net is his call screener. The ONLY time he gets a real call is a stealth caller. And then they cut them off immediately! But hey, if his ideas are so good, why doesn't Fat Bastard allow them to be challenged? I almost puked where Californicator Berg showed up on the pulpit at Mountview Cemetery last Monday with a Marine Corps League jacket on and no cover. I cant speak for the VFW or Marine Corps League but I know that the American Legion is NON-POLITICAL and having mouth piece like Berg who has lived in Montana for 5 years all of sudden think he is some sort of local dignitary who has the standing in the community to honor OUR war dead is bullshit.
I suppose one has to admire someone like Craig. A lock step, bobblehead, true believer, idelogue in the Judy Martz style. Like Limbaugh, I dont recall Craig saying anything memorable or original but he was good at googling and copying and pasting.

With free speech ya gotta take the good with the bad and the ugly. That's free speech. The good, the bad, and the UGLY! Unfortunately, on programs like Bergy Boy and the Fat Boy Blimpaugh and jonny stool stokes, all we get is the UGLY!
