Burns on fire
Apparently I missed a story by Jennifer McKee that told part of this remarkable story about one vote by Conrad Burns. Hardly a neutral source, but certainly interesting.

Nobody cares about a leftwing loser’s rally in The People’s Republic of Missoula. The only difference between Comrade Ochenski and Glue Pot Tony is that one has a newspaper and the other a blog.
Wow. Great to see someone gives a damn about the damage ol' Conrad is doing to the state and the country. They'd ride Franken out on a rail 'round these parts. Ever get the feeling that the 1960s and 1970s never happened in Billings? It's like we went straight from Eisenhower to Reagan: Do not pass go; do not acknowledge cultural revolution.
I just Googled "Burns Abramoff" and got 588,000 hits. Yesterday it was 193,000. Interesting. What's also interesting is the attitude of supporters - they don't deal in responding to accusations, factual or trumped up. Their responses are vague generalized ad hominems. These people would probably vote for any dog the Republicans led by lash to the polls.
Even a shit-kicker like Conrad Burns is way better than something like a Dianne Feinstein, who gives a whole new meaning to “Mad Cow Disease.”
What do you hairless weenies want? Purity in government? Grow up. This is American politics. Money talks, idealists walk.
The only important thing is that your taxes keep going down. That way it doesn’t matter if the fat cat white boys are getting your money or the lazy blacks on the federal plantations. Because they’ll be getting less and less of it!
