In the Outpost

Montana Quarterly is allowing me to reprint my Schweitzer piece, so it's now in the Outpost (in somewhat abbreviated form). I also review Venture Theatre's One-Act Play Festival, in my mind the theater event of the year, and Billings Studio Theatre's "Waiting for MacArthur."

Schweitzer for President? No way.

He'll be a one-term Governor.

Your track record for making accurate political predictions is abysmal, Eric, but maybe you'll get it right this time.

I actually have a pretty good percentage. Well above 50%.

I've picked our Senate races, all the way back to Burns/Melcher, the last 3 Governors races, and the last House race I picked wrong was Marlenee/Williams.

I picked the last two presidential races, and during the last city election, I picked all the races right except for Tussing/Garver.

Are you sure you meant 'abysmal'

Coobs has a 20/20 memory! Right, Coober? How we gonna prove you wrong? Me, oh yeah, I haven't picked a loser in twenty years! In any race!

My question for David is this: can anyone write a BAD article about Scwheitzer? Yours is good, except for the quote from bill croke. Old billy likes to bill himself as a writer. Ask him some time why he left Choteau. They pretty much laughed him outta town.

I thought your article about Schweitzer was very good. Thanks for running it in the Outpost.
