An anonymous commenter below asks why readers have to sign in to post comments. The short answer: I don't know. If anybody knows why, and could tell me how to leave out that requirement, I would appreciate hearing about it.

No one has to sign in. There's a link under the sign-in screen that allows you to post anonymously.
That's why the anonymous reader was able to post anonymously.
But I would like to be able to post under a username without having to log in every time. Other blogs are that way. I'll never remember a password. And the problem with us all posting anonymously is no one can tell if it's one person with a dozen posts or a dozen people with one post.
