Nuclear Montana

Scary, if true. But I don't see a shred of supporting evidence in the story.

Not scary at all, Dave. BUT TRUE! I worked in the missile fields in the early seventies, and I was told by a capsule commander of an incident when a training exercies went awry. Seems that the the missile launch procedure was started and was supposed to shut off at a preplanned moment. IT DIDN'T! The countdown continued to launch. The huge cement doors on the silos were blown off. Then, at the last moment, the missile apparently corrected itself. True story, relayed to me by a missile launch commander.
